Crime reporter Victoria Sanchez was interviewing Henning minutes before he was shot. Not having said anything about the interview to anyone untrustworthy, Victoria was surprised to find that her home had been broken into. Fearing for her safety, she gets on a bus and travels to California where her ex-boyfriend, also a US Navy Seal, lives. With all that is going on, it seems that something bigger is happening. Could US Congressman Henning be involved in things unbecoming of a US official or is it all just random and coincidental? More mysteries are unveiled in Pushed to the Edge by Loren Mathis. From the first few chapters of Pushed to the Edge, I was hooked. The first part was already filled with action that never let up and there's never a dull moment in this book . . . I love how all the pieces came together in this book. Loren Mathis didn't reveal too much too soon which was very good in building the story towards a climax."  -- Lorena Sanqui for *Readers' Favorite* ** "If you're looking for an action-packed suspense, then this is for you. Pushed to the Edge brings civilian and military life together as a series of events taking place all over the world . . . revealing just enough information to keep your interest all the while taking you down new roads that have you questioning everyone's motives." - *The *Book Cove Reviews*** * ### From the Author Dear Readers, I wrote *Pushed to the Edge* during my last year in law school. When writing *Pushed*, I wanted this novel to be non-formulaic. When reading this novel, I hoped that readers would take away thoughts about the interconnection between terrorism and the drug trade. Since Navy SEALs do not work in a vacuum, the novel also focuses on the intelligence community. This novel describes different scenes that happen throughout the world and the storyline develops how those seemingly unrelated events are in fact connected.  It's not everyone's cup of tea--it's non-formulaic, so if you fancy a more linear plot progression & writing style then this is most likely not the book for you. For clarification purposes, *Pushed to the Edge* is: a full-length 83,000+ word novel. a novel that has multiple plot points and interweaving subplot threads (not excerpts from other books in the Series; the other books in the Series have not even been written yet).
