### About the Author

Ann Charles is a multiple national award-winning mystery author. Her novel, Nearly Departed in Deadwood, won the 2010 Daphne du Maurier for Excellence in Mystery/ Suspense and the 2011 RWA Golden Heart Award for Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements. Her third novel in the Deadwood Mystery series, Dead Case in Deadwood, was selected as one of Suspense Magazine's BEST OF 2012 books.

She also writes the Jackrabbit Junction Mystery series and has plans to start another series set in Nevada in 2013.
