Description:

Rumpelstiltskin and Aladdin’s magic lamp collide in this fractured fairy tale. Faced with turning old contracts into gold, Jovie conjures up Rand, a magical being living in the creamer pot! He’ll help her … for a price. Can she save this exotic, sexy man before he disappears forever and she’s forced to take his place? Plus-sized Jovie Andrews is constantly passed over for promotions and she feels invisible. Things only get worse when her boss, thinking he can impress the owner of their company, tells everyone that she can change old contracts into gold bars. If Jovie thought her life was bad before, she had no idea how horrible it could be until she finds herself in a room with stacks of outdated contracts she's expected to miraculously transform. As she pours a cup of tea, she rubs at a stain on the creamer pot, and a magical being, Rand, appears, saying he’ll help her with her troubles--for a price each time. Skeptical yet curious about the exotically sexy man, she agrees, but she’s not prepared for the erotic things he does to her as reward. Over the course of her trials, he teaches her how worthy of good things she really is. Once the tasks are completed, and freed of Rand's help, Jovie is given an ultimatum: find out his full name or exchange her life for Rand’s; otherwise, he’ll be lost for all eternity and she'll be trapped in the prison he came from. ** ### Review 4/5 Hearts from The Romance Studio -- "Ms. Sookoo kept me on the edge of my seat for the last half of the story, just waiting to see how it would turn out! I enjoy all of her works I have read, and this one is no different! It is a fantastic version of the old tale! Jovie is a truly wonderful heroine (although there *were* a few moments I thought she was a twit) and I loved the relationship she and Rand have! I own almost all of Ms. Sookoo's novellas and this just makes me want to read more!" Nominated for a 2012 CAPA Award in the Contemporary category from The Romance Studio. ### From the Author Who doesn't love a fairy tale? I don't know about you but I've been enamored with them from a young age. Only now, I like a bit of heat in my stories along with the conflict and the "what if" moments. Wishful Thinking is my first foray into writing re imagined fairy tales, and I've got to tell you a secret... I'm not going back! In fact, I have two more which will be released sometime in 2012 and am working on yet another one. And that makes me a happy writer! Trying to find the path to the happily ever after while set in modern times is a blast!
