**The inspirational novel written by contemporary Christian romance author Kimberly Rae Jordan is sure to tug at your heart and encourage your soul.**
Six years after rebels took her missionary husband hostage, Cassie MacIntyre gets word that Quinn has been released and is on his way home. While initially excited to have her husband back, it isn’t long before joy turns to heartache as Cassie realizes that his time in captivity have robbed Quinn of his faith in God and, apparently, his love for her.
Quinn has lost more than weight while being held captive in the jungles of Colombia. As days turned to months, he struggled and failed to keep his faith alive. As months turned to years, hope for a rescue faded. Quinn's heart and emotions hardened as he faced a daily battle to stay alive and to understand why God had abandoned him.
The man who has come back to Cassie is a stranger. She struggles to keep alive the hope that there is a future for their marriage, their family and the love and faith they once shared.

I have had some people ask me if *Faith, Hope & Love* is a true story or based on real events. The short answer is no, it's not a real story. However, the story was inspired by events that occurred as I was growing up as a missionary kid in Asia. There were instances of kidnappings of missionaries throughout my growing up years. One had endings that was sad--the missionary kidnapped was killed. Another had an unknown ending--3 missionary men were eventually declared dead after 8 years based on reports although their bodies were never recovered. And yet another had a happy ending--the missionary was released after 810 days in captivity. It was those events that inspired me to write *Faith, Hope & Love*. Also in my mind was the knowledge that many (all?)of us struggle at times with wondering where God is when things are rough. Or wondering what the bigger picture is when our view of our circumstances is so narrow. There are situations where we never do see the bigger picture, the impact our struggle may have had one others. But through it all, God remains faithful. We just have to keep our trust in Him. Showing that struggle for Quinn and Cassie was an emotional journey for me as well. I hope that as people read this story they are encouraged to keep their trust in God even when circumstances make them feel abandoned and alone.
### About the Author
As a daughter to missionary parents, Kimberly spent the first 18 years of her life in Asia with only periodic visits "home" to Canada. With limited access to television, Kimberly spent many hours reading and creating stories in her head. Thus began her love of the written word! The years that followed her high school graduation and subsequent return to Canada involved becoming a wife and a mother to 4 beautiful children. Though the past several years have taken some unexpected twists and turns and have had ups and downs, God continues to work. "Under construction" is the best way to describe Kimberly's life! In addition to writing, Kimberly loves to read, bake and pin craft ideas on Pinterest...and once in a while, she actually tries her hand at one! Living in the cold of central Canada, Kimberly finds winters a great time to hunker down with a good book or spend time getting to know the characters for her next book.
