Sometimes it seems like life is trying to tell you something. It might be telling you to be more careful or perhaps to be more bold. Sometimes, it tells you to stay in bed and pull the covers over your head. It can be hard to tell.
One summer, life's messages came through loud and clear. Life told me that the world was not what it seemed, that everything I thought I knew was wrong, that magic and evil exist, and that my actions could trigger way bigger repercussions than I'd ever imagined.
That summer, life delivered those messages and several more: Killer sex is not as fun as it sounds; Don't play with dead things; With great power comes great pain; And, last but not least, hanging around me is hazardous to your health.
My friends tell me that the third law of thermodynamics can be restated as “things get worse.” I'm no longer so sure they're pulling my leg.
