What would you do if a killer ended up trapped in your basement? Probably call the police! That's not what Linus Hather does. He's a prison guard with a fairly quiet life in the pine barrens of New Jersey when by a stroke of luck (or fate), a mass murdering killer ends up captured in his elaborate home security system.
First, Linus has trouble convincing authorities that this diminutive individual is even a killer. But after killing a scientist and performing the horrifying act on security video, everyone becomes a stunned believer - the only problem is that he's escaped, and no one knows where to look for him.
Linus Hather is a maximum security prison guard by day, and spends time with his computer and his ring-tailed lemur at night. Considering his interests and beliefs, his few friends would describe him charitably as "eccentric." But Linus puts everything aside. Finding this killer before he kills again becomes his mission. He begins his search at the local library and ends up on three different continents looking for the stealthiest killer on Earth.
With the help of a beautiful and stubborn government scientist, the hunt is on for the Devil's Assassin.

### From the Author
*The Devil's Assassin* was inspired by a very creepy dream that I kept having for a period of time some years back. The character in that dream was the perfect antagonist for this story which I jumped into by writing a movie script over the course of a year. When M. Night Shyamalan didn't make a movie from my original screenplay ;-) I decided to convert it into a novel to make it more accessible to the reading public. What you have here in the novel is a very accessible, PG or PG13, horror / thriller (with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure) that will appeal to any age group. The book is not intended for preteens, however, because I don't want to inspire nightmares in the youngsters. That said, the rest of us don't mind a nightmare now and then, right?
**TGIF** - Thank goodness it's frightening!
