### From the Author
This was a fun book to do because it's a prequel of sorts to Crispin's story in Untamed Rogue, Scandalous Mistress. BUT the catch was that I had already written Crispin's story, so I had to figure out how to make his backstory fit with his story when I went to flesh it out--for instance, I had to have the whole story now about how he got that magnificent horse of his and just exactly what his diplomatic career had entailed.
